Gearing up for our 3rd Annual Open Haus & Car Show

Dear Friends,
Welcome to my blog!
On August 27th, we at Auto Haus Motors will be having our 3rd Annual Open Haus and Car Show. We have decided to make this year a little different than the previous two with this year’s focus, to raise money for SAM’s Garage. Designed specifically for children and young adults, SAM’s Garage is an authentic, educational, auto mechanic ‘garage’ located inside the Saratoga Auto Museum, coupled with an interactive studio, equipped with racing simulators, video modules and a display of vintage race cars. With the help of volunteer instructors, kids who visit SAM’s Garage learn the many facets of auto mechanics through hands-on workshops and exciting projects. This past year, the kids at SAM’s Garage restored a 1925 Model TT Ford with a white gas powered engine, outfitted with a steam driven powerhouse for cooking up that well favored, aromatic treat, popcorn! Auto Haus Motors is hoping the museum will be able to bring it to this year’s Open Haus and Car Show as further testament to such a fine program.
One might ask, “Why is Auto Haus Motors so captivated by SAM’s Garage”? And honestly, it is the museum’s vision for the future of SAM’s Garage that has Auto Haus Motors so excited. The proposed plan for SAM’s Garage is to provide a cutting-edge, automotive learning facility with at its core, the preservation of vintage and exotic automobiles. Sam’s Garage would offer a specialized syllabus with hands-on instruction, and open its doors to young minds and hands, whose love of cars and innate predisposition toward auto mechanics would enable them to become the proficient technicians of the future.
Within throwing distance from the Saratoga Auto Museum, across Avenue of the Pines, is an historic building recently donated to the museum by the state, and now the epicenter for the future of SAM’s Garage. To carry out the buildings transformation, it will require the collaboration of essential resources and the generous support others. With a new, off-site facility, SAM’s Garage could provide an educational experience for children in ways far exceeding the museum’s current accomplishments, and at the same time, pave the way for young students to become as proficient and sought after as our very own Master Technician here at Auto Haus Motors, Frank Viva. And not least of which, providing such a novel facility to disadvantaged kids, offering proficiency in a discipline so rare, would further distinguish Saratoga Springs as a place of vitality, culture and benevolence.
Along with a $10.00 registration fee for each show car, throughout the day’s event, we will be hosting some very exciting raffles to raise money for SAM’s Garage. WE hope you can join us! Also, if you would like to donate to help with SAM's Garage, let us know.
